Scribbing notes
during an award-winning
songwriter’s presentation,
my pen took a slight detour.
Thinking back, I remember sketching
a treble clef, turning the paper
90 degrees, drawing another and
repeating the process twice more.
I crossed my arms and smiled.
Fast forward 20 years…Atlanta, GA:
my mantle...still sans Grammy.
But something noteworthy did happen.
